Macoupin Mechanical Boats were designed and built by Lake Rip Rap, Inc. to implement our methods of shoreline habitat development and shoreline stabilization.                           

Design Requirements:                                                                         
1.  The boats had to be transportable (weight, width, height, length)
2.  Displacement up to 54 tons with a maximum bow draft of 36”
3.  Adequate conveyor reach to operate on a littoral slope of 12% 
4.  Easy launch and retrieval 
5.  Adequate cruise speed & payload capacity to be productive

Every requirement had to be met with no compromising trade-offs
