Shoreline Evaluations

Today's Lake Manager can draw on the resources, equipment, and experience of Lake Rip Rap, Inc to provide a comprehensive shoreline evaluation.

The evaluation begins wit ha visual inspection of existing conditions and spot checks of the fore slope gradient with consideration of site specific factors that influence wave energy or shoreline stability.  Observations of this initial inspection are used to determine the degree of investigation required, establish procedures, and expedite the evaluation.

The completed evaluations generally includes methodology, existing cross sectional information, determination of design wave at various locations, vertical limits of wave energy zone(Zone B), suggested methods of remediation and structural designs that may include bio-engineered shorelines for habitat, breakwaters, standard revetments, and lean revetments.

Recommendations are presented to optimize available funds and priorities established for budgetary purposes.
